Shock Horror! I have found a reason to support a tree-hugger!

In a not at all favorable post to the New Zealand Center for Political Research Mike Butler writes:

“’Maori in regions where jobs are limited who are growing and selling cannabis to keep their Whanau fed shouldn’t be punished for their entrepreneurship,’ Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei told Maori TV on Monday night. ‘It has become an income supplement for Whanau particularly in rural areas where they have very little income and few job prospects, particularly in the back blocks, and we have to very careful how we manage that,’ Turei said on the Native Affairs show. ‘There are some real skills there, some real entrepreneurial skills and some real horticultural skills. These are the skills that people have and they are trying to do the best for their families to make a sufficient income and they are under threat all the time but there are few choices that they have,’ she said.»

What are the “real horticultural skills” Turei is talking about? I guess this involves taking a cannabis seed, germinating it in potting mix in a yogurt bottle, transplanting, feeding, watering, and harvesting. Anyone who has a vegetable garden could grow cannabis.

What are the “real entrepreneurial skills?» After the harvest and packaging the crop in tinfoil, these entrepreneurs simply go into town on the party circuit, offer around some dope, pass out a few tinnies on tick to return on payday to collect cash and sell more, while delivering wholesale orders to tinnie houses dotted around State-house areas.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most sensible opinions I have ever herd from a rabid Greenie. I must congratulate Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei for her brave and absolutely righteous statements against the persecution of Pot growers and dealers. She is entirely right.

527606_516032115105009_675887553_n-600x565That her comments are creating a stink among the ignorant and bigoted supporter of cannabis prohibition is a testimony to just how small minded and nasty many people are. The truth is, pot is much less dangerous than alcohol and it is the very height of bigotry for the wowzers to condemn pot yet reach over and put a bottle of wine or a box of beer into their trolley.

The fact that these hypocrites who have no conscience about using police brutality to impose their nasty bigotry upon others disgusts me to the very core. They pretend that legalization will bring the sky down upon our heads — it matters not that their oppression destroys much more families than drug abuse ever could; it matters not that the Police could be concentrating on catching thieves and violent offenders — what matters to these Nazis is that the state makes pot users suffer for their defiance.

I must confess to virulently hating these Anti-freedom and oppressive scum.

May God forgive me.

They are the lowest of the low. They are in fact criminals, because they support the violation of other peoples rights and liberties. They support bad laws and tyranny.

Up your’s, prohibitionist scum!

Hate to break it to y’all but everyone is smoking up a storm! New Zealand tops the world in cannabis use; in spite of your nasty War on Drugs! Prohibition has not stopped anything! You simply waste police time and taxes.

You destroy the lives of peaceful people and push them into criminal associations.

You must be some of the stupidest, pig-headed, and most malevolent people on earth.

TRAILBLAZING POLICE CHIEF, MARK KESSLER, TALKS GUNS AND FREEDOM

Article by Mark I Rasskazov.

The video above is the interview I had with Chief Kessler.  Once I got him talking, we ended up speaking on a number of subjects, where he cogently and succinctly explained his views on a number of political and philosophical subjects.

Some of the things we talked about:

c23838d5a26f73db2fd4ff5cb6c0bc2b_mooaObviously, the first thing we talked about was his interpretation of the second amendment, including his interpretation of the «Well regulated militia» clause.

We talked about the proper scope of responsibility of the government, given the constitution.

We talked about what prompted him to become so actively pro-constitutionalist on a national scale.

We talked about Obama and his policies.

We talked about Senator Feinstein and her Facebook page.

We talked about how he got banned from Facebook, and the new social networking site, Awareness Act.

We talked about Sandy Hook, and the parents’ response.

5e39a87359e4263c044f1cfa8dc40225_0h3sWe talked about how in most schools there are no armed guards, and how he was able to get it approved in his local school district.

He talked about his community in Gilberton, PA, and the relationship he has with his local government and his sheriff, as well as his take on Mayor Bloomberg and his ilk.

We talked about the responsibilities and attitudes of elected officials.

We talked about «illegal» guns.

We talked about gun registration and the Dick Act of 1902.

We talked about the Patriot Act.

06eac9103e93fcb297f012dfb200d2c2We talked about Congressional pay, the fact that they play the American people off of each other, and the fact that they vote for unconstitutional laws, as well as what we should do about it.

We talked about the possibility of a confrontation between the people and the government, including where he would stand, how many members of the government who would stand with the people, and how it would compare to the previous civil war.

We talked about the ATF and Waco.

We speculated on the possibility that the ATF’s classification of assault rifles as «machine guns» might represent a move to require a Class III Firearms License to own one.

We talked about the Supreme Court, the Constitution, the Law of the Land, and the legitimacy of the government.

3fc03d92b15b33efc249011d041b9892_o8fsWe talked about the possibility of impeaching president Obama.

We talked about the difference between a police chief and a sheriff, and why police chiefs are much more hesitant to come out publicly for the constitution.

We talked about the Constitutional Security Force, the civilian defense training organization, Fast Tactics, and his pro-freedom intelligence network, Oathbreakers.  We talked about violent crime, and how gun-ownership along with the proper training can help someone come out on top of a violent confrontation, and about how his Constitutional Security Force is partnered with Fast Tactics to provide training for private gun owners.

He closed with a call to action on the part of all liberty lovers to do their part to safeguard their freedoms for themselves, and for their posterity, and strongly reasserted the fact that our second amendment rights are the final safeguard of freedom against tyranny.

NEW BOOK: TWISTING THE TREATY

3Article by Tim Wikiriwhi.

Syndicated from Eternal Vigilance.

Six notable authors have just published a challenging new book about the way the Treaty of Waitangi has been twisted to be greatly in favor of Maori tribes over the last thirty years. These distortions include the rewriting of our [New Zealand’s] history by political “historians,” the never-ending so called Treaty Claim process, and the privatization and relinquishment of our foreshore and seabed, as well as our native flora and fauna, and the rights that apply to our sea fishery.

If you are interested in these matters, then this book, Twisting the Treaty – a Tribal Grab for Wealth and Power provides readily readable discussion on these topics. The Cover below.

2Warning – the book is factual and is not politically correct; one of its charms in my view.
The book is available at a retail cost of $40. It has 414 pages and 16 photo pages, but, with 16 self-contained chapters, it does not have to be read all at once.

Where to obtain it:
1.  Good bookstores throughout NZ,
2.  Write to Tross Publishing, P O Box 22 143, Khandallah, Wellington, 6441 with your order and cheque,
3.  Also see our website, www.trosspublishing.co.nz for info and to order online.

Enjoy your reading.

LIBERTARIAN, TIM WIKIRIWHI, RUNS FOR MAYOR OF HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND

Article by Mark I Rasskazov, Editor in Chief.

Tim Wikiriwhi, outspoken Christian Libertarian and prominent member of the New Zealand Libertarianz party of New Zealand, is running for mayor of the City of Hamilton, the fourth largest city in New Zealand.

Mr. Wikiriwhi is a Neo-Jeffersonian, and has been a bona fide freedom fighter for decades.  I’ve interacted with the man personally, and I can say that speaking with this bike riding, metal jamming, straight-shooting kiwi leaves you feeling that the fight for liberty is a zombie apocalypse in which he’s packing a pump 12 gauge of truth against a zombified liberal horde.

The man is leader, not a joiner.  Even with people he respects, he’s doesn’t shrink from dishing out some tough love when it’s called for, much to the chagrin of many of the more intellectually intransigently impecunious among the New Zealand freedom movement (e.g. the SOLO crowd).

This author is very interested to see how this race turns out, and will follow it closely.

Best of luck Mr. Wikiriwhi.  I hope you are able to bring liberty to bear upon your corner of the world.  A pro-freedom victory anywhere in the world is a victory for liberty everywhere in the world.  If you’re the praying type, this would be a good thing to support with your supplications.  I know I will.
